Hope?

What has been accomplished from this 'war'/massacre?

- More than 1000 Palestinian civilians dead, one third of which are children.
- More than 5000 people injured.
- The entire infrastructure of Gaza destroyed. Mosques, Christian churches, hospitals, schools, houses were all targets.
- Shameless crimes against humanity.
- Hamas support has grown exponentially
- Hatred for Israel has grown exponentially in the Arab nations.

Nothing can be achieved until Israel and Hamas lay down their guns and talk to each other. Really I can't see any hope without Jesus and the kingdom values of love, peace, justice and equality.

"Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend. We never get rid of an enemy by meeting hate with hate; we get rid of an enemy by getting rid of enmity. By its very nature, hate destroys and tears down; by its very nature, love creates and builds up. Love transforms with redemptive power."
Martin Luther King

As much as I believe each side is as bad as the other, it must be said that Israel have lost this battle in the public eye.

Just heard from a Palestinian Christian Baptist Pastor who had his Church destroyed by Israel's airforce.

We need to remember our Chrisitian brothers and sisters in both Israel and Palestine.
This Pastor said he gets perscuted from both Jew and Arab.
A bit of good news though, one of the top Hamas leader's son got saved, no details yet, our pastor just announced this in church.

Shalom

Godbless John, I wish I knew how to understand these issues.

It seems the more I go on in the faith, the less I know.
The greatest theological question any man can ask is Why?
